Sofá Amana

Sofá Amana

2020

Rain, rainwater, a cloud heavy with rain. These moments are named in the Tupi language by the word Amana, and they are translated by architect Nildo José into this sofa. The curvilinear, organic design, reminiscent of a drop of water, has its lightness heightened by the paradox created by the metal structure. Slender and rigid, it gives the upholstery more movement. While metal materially represents stability and strength, water invites fluidity — of life and of form. The harmonious coexistence of two opposing resources — metal shapes water, while water can also sculpt metal over time — makes the Amana sofa a special piece, perfect for minimalist, contemporary living rooms. Those who love modern, sophisticated decor will count it among their favorites.
