Apto DR

At 540 m² in São Paulo, Apto DR posed the inverse of the metropolis' challenge: space was abundant, intimacy was not. The project tamed the monumental scale with ceiling transitions, joinery planes and layers of light that bring rooms closer to the body. The social areas unfold for grand entertaining, but it is in the passages — foyers, art-lined galleries, reading corners — that the apartment reveals its domestic nature. Grandeur that embraces rather than impresses.
